Seasons of Love
Love like winter,
As it freezes over and dies.
Love like spring,
As it bounces back and grows tenfold.
Love like summer,
As it is hot and carefree yet overwhelming in its intensity.
Love like autumn,
As its fruits slowly lose vibrancy and fall away from the arms that once held them.
Love like rain,
As it cleanses but sometimes destroys those that it pours down upon.
Love like magic,
As it is complicated and often uncontrollable.
Love like music,
As it is, it’s beautiful though it can be changed as well.
Love like the lemon tree,
Whose blossom smells so sweet.
But the fruit of the poor lemon
Is impossible to eat.
