Seasons of My Heart

I look up through my teary vision I watch as the pure white snow falls to the ground I can see that icicles have formed onto the leafless trees Winter is here, yet so far away As a feel my hear begin to break. The spring has announced it's presence As April's showers brings May's flowers While I watch the animals retrieve from their hibernating dens my heart still aches, but I feel it mending. The heat washes over me, as I lay in the summers sun I listen to the laughter of couples enjoying the summer life Summer has been lots of fun, but it's soon coming to an end My heart is whole once again, as I begin to forget. The season of fall begins with the change of the colors on the leaves as the fall to the earths floor it's the season to give thanks and forgive, enjoying home cooked meals from family and friends The cool weather comes rolling through, letting everyone know the winter is not to far As my heart begins to fall for another all over again.
