Secerts
She felt right, she was strong,
Thought no one could do her wrong
SO her ear was always free for listening
The secrets she was told
Some were fresh and some were old
she kept them even when her hairs were bristling
And she was changing deep inside
Closet bones losing spots to hide
She found that her eyes were always listening
Hidden words that once made her jolly
Were now the catalyst of melancholy
She wasn't lost, but her soul was surely missing
Her curtains closed as she took her bow
Heart emptying of secrets now
As her cloudy eyes began their chronic misting
She was weak, she felt wrong
And so she ended like a song
With no ear lent to her for much- needed listening
Alone
