A second chance

I was given another chance to

come back as an unwanted creature;

the slimiest of snakes or vermin

this deal set forth debate silently

for who would love me then? Anyone?

transported, I look through my lenses

a million new views, new angles

darting to the end of the shelf

I dive off the wood, trusting my wings

They bring me up and up further

until I can see my past skewed view

shattered at this breath taking flight

a vermin graced with the truth fully

The true beauty of the world only

Captured when borrowed from humanity.
