Second Chance
The girl that's the third child,
wasn't suppose to be.
Sibling's wanted a puppy,
instead they got me.
The girl raised with siblings telling her she won't succeed,
told me so much that I started to believe.
Everyone says that I have a lot of friends,
so why did i feel so alone in the end?
The girl that had this mask,
Hoping no one would see.
See the person behind the mask,
the real me.
The girl that saw her brother crying himself to sleep,
Because his best friend died at age fifteen.
That lost faith in God,
After so much tragedy.
The girl that was scared of her phone,
Or at least the person on the other end.
Telling her she is useless and ugly,
And to do everyone a favor and never come back again.
The girl that felt like the world was crushing her,
That had a game plan out.
Just take a few more pill,
I had it all fgured out.
The girl that was saved in the end,
By the person she calls her best friend.
Realizing it gets better,
You just have to stick it out till the very end.
