A second chance

So long mother.

See you later Father.

Entering a new world.

Your hopeful daughter.

A new world I wasn't prepared for.

Expectations, opportunities and so much more.

The parties, The boys, The responsibilities I forgot.

The studying, The homework, The classes I skipped a lot.

The grades that slipped.

The sleep I missed.

The future I kissed.

Goodbye.

I had a free ride and it vanished just like that.

One too many wrong turns now I am trying to get back.

A second chance is what I need.

To prove to everyone and myself that I will succeed.

Its easier said than done though.

I work to save.

But, I have bills to pay.

3 years later and I am still not in school.

Working my young years away feeling like a fool.

A second chance is all that I am begging for.

So opportunities can come knocking at my door.

Like they use to years and years before.
