Second Chance

Beautiful, talented, and so young

Scared to know what she’d become.

Ignorant, selfish, and oblivious,

Life becomes careless.

Until the day that changed it all,

She did not have a care at all.

Her life flashed before her eyes,

As she screamed and yelled and cried.

She thought her life came to an end,

But the grace of God had risen again.

She was given one more chance at life,

And this time, she made it right.

To the people who thought she couldn’t do it,

She proved them wrong and made it through it.

Life was now so precious to her,

She matured and saw a whole new world.

Even through the ups and downs,

She always smiled and never frowned.

She valued and respected the life she was given,

She was hardworking, determinated, and driven.   

Beautiful, talented, and so young.

She was pleased with who she’d become.
