Second Chances

Your apology no longer means anything to me.

I had hope in you.

I truly believed that you would no longer use my past against me,

But I was wrong.

And in that moment,

My heart dropped because

I realized that everything I ever believed in

Was just a figment of my imagination.

I'm done trying.

I have fought for you for way too long.

You don't get any more chances.

This is reality, not one of your video games.

You can't just hit the restart button to be respawned at your last saved checkpoint with all your lives.

Life doesn't work like that.

If you want to be forgiven,

Then prove to me that you are worth forgiving.
