The Second Heartbreak

Dear The Boy Next Door

I’ve known you since elementary school

And I thought boys always drool

But as time grew I thought more and more of you

You always had a crush on me and I had a crush on you

We are both high schoolers now but I wondered

So the rest is history and we were like Romeo and Juliet

Not starcrossed, but lovers thick and through

Till the final day I picked a fight with you

We parted ways at the most inconvenient of times

Merry and bright they were supposed to be

But all I thought of was you and me

I miss you still to this day, this is true

And I would still give all my heart to you

Because when the day is done and the sun is set

Our happy memories play on repeat from the moment we met

Love, The Girl Next Door
