Second to None

I hear the steps from the soldiers who march with heightened heart beats.

I hear the false truths trembling through teeth of the ones we chose to lead.

I hear the deep breaths. I hear the pain of those who weep for the loved ones we left.

I hear the clips clicking and the metal clanking as we prepare for war.

This pen is my sword, and the ink bleeds on the pages I rape.

The inner ape is released from its cage through the creative use of vocabulary.

Feel the wrath of a poet’s rage the battleground is my stage.

This outrage cannot be tamed.

It cannot be contained for as long as I have the access to a dictionary.

I am the guy showing the word like Pictionary.

Defeating hypocrisy and bringing clarity to the areas of uncertainty.

I am certainly worthy to carry the torch I currently carry as a sign of my firey fiery.

Flames flickering smelling of old sweet hickory victory

coated with a sense of mystery delivering misery.

I am the bartender that throws you shots of hennesy,

I spin you, I make you dizzy.

I am the optometrist the prescribes the lens that clear up the blurry

In an attempt save the world in a hurry

As if the final seconds are counting down, counting down.

Five…. Four…. Three…. Two……… one…..

…There can only be one.

Don’t be stunned if you catch your self wanting to run

In the presence of my verbal gun with unlimited ammo

Cloaked in cammo armed to the teeth like Rambo.

R.I.P. Rest in Poetry.

The essence of eloquent blessing is forever bestowed

in me leaving me with the motive to shape society with the words I wrote.

Capture the role I tote as I campaign for the presidential vote.

Evasive maneuvers to evade the mud.

Erase the puns, Eat up your last bit of crumbs.

I flow like I live in a castle surrounded by a moat.

I have bars like Dove, soap.

Trying to clean the world in a tub, Rub a dub dub.

Rinse off the soap suds.

Eliminating the slimey scums,

Elevating out of the grimey slums.

Inspired to never end up a bum.

Toast to future endeavors, and the cleaver who control the weather.

Just like eagles we raise above the storm.

Going above the norm.

Doing what we must to achieve victory in the war

of the Wise against the Ignorance.

My flow can never be inhibited only enhanced.

I am a big tipper, so Here’s your one, and I mean One and only

Chance to slowly put down the sword and back it up like a striper

Or dare to challenge Jack the ripper.

I’ll feast on you for dinner.

I am the verified,

Certified,

un-denied presidential winner.

The president of the Poetry Club at my school was getting a little competitive, so I felt the need to challenge him...
