The Secret

You're standing by the phone, hoping he will call,

I am sitting in the background, watching each tear fall

There is no safty net, when the one you love lets go

You wish you had an antidote for cupid's dastardly bow

With your love's demise, you cannot help but think,

If you knew it were to end this way, would you have given that first wink?

I curse him for his stupidity

I hope you will be fine

You say he is the best thing to happen to you

If only you knew you're mine...
