The Secret
My roommate
My teammate
My soulmate....
Is it to late?
Is he too straight?
Our friendship is great
Aside from the secret
The one that broke my lip
With my fathers fist
Just for what I say
It's not a crime!
To be gay...
He didn't see it that way.
Leave you homo!
My friends couldn't know...
I didn't lie
Said we got in a fight
But never said why
How could I?
But he was there for me
Let me stay with him, for free.
We just sat and joked.
I'd never been more happy...
Until he brought a girl over
And I heard him make love to her
I just laid on his couch
Pretending to watch tv
As my tears streamed, silently
Why did she deserve him?
Why not me?
I'm living, but barely
My heart is beating, so slowly
My breath is moving, so rapidly
And I sit crying, so sadly.
My knees curl to my chest
I lay my head down to rest
And do my best
To think about him less
And not succeeding
Absolutely failing
Now I'm weeping
My chest felt tight
And that's when I heard him
"Dude?! Are you alright!"
I sit up to quickly
Look away to suddenly
He knows me to clearly
He hugs me tightly.
"Hey, look at me."
My head is turning
His eyes are hypnotizing
"What are you feeling?"
Im choking
On my love for him
The world just seems so grim
My love is on the outer rim
Trying to circle its way into his heart
The word is just so tart.
"Love." His eyes widened, his hands jerked away.
And my world fell apart.
