Secret of Friendship

How? I always ask myself,

I look at them with hopes of being part of it,

Part of their laughter, their conversation, their friendship,

But how?

Can I just come up and say hello?

Or would that be rude and would I just be meddling in?

Why? Oh why is it so hard for me?

But it seems like a piece of cake to them.

I wish I knew the secret,

The secret of friendship,

Why is my world so small,

How do I get them to know my real self,

I wish a chance would just come up,

But is it true that the secret is within myself?

If so then am I the one that should come up to them?

Accepted or rejected I am me and nobody else,

so here i go,

Hello there!
