Secret Ingredient

Secret Ingredient

There's no coming back to you

The morning hunger pangs

What can one do but open the doors

Which draw in the breeze of bliss

And the scent of satiation

O what lies within that causes such din

In my tummy.

Pie.

Where one is drawn by the vaults

The cold caress of cracked carrion

of the fruit of yesteryear

Spoiled it is not

Rich in its undulating earth energy

This be the prize of paradise's plenty

The scorn of all rottenness and depravity

The secret ingredient

The wholeness of the circle

Curvilinear forms embracing

merger with the infinite

What brings this mythos of pie to light

What brings it to new beginnings

Where goblins tread on sages dead

And houses of sirens sailing

Toward the hells of dried taste

Come taste and see

And you will be

Transfixed by the delight

Of this pie's might

Of its hidden ingredient untold of old

O where may it yet be found

Above earth or in the ground

Has it given to everlasting reproach

Has the almighty indicted it's toast

Are the fears of all the years untold

Due to this pie's unfurling

What is your secret ingredient?
