To: Secret Love

I fell in love with you.
In the beginning, you were just a grain of sand in my eyes.
Later, you became the star that twinkled my sky.
But, you lightened mixed signals.
I felt flat out confused.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
To avoid rejection, I too enlisted mixed signals in the air to keep things cool.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
I sent you text signals,
But there were days you answered.
And there were days you ignored them.
I felt shallowed.
I felt dried and emptied.
I felt confused.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
When you are not around,
I don't know what to do.
When you are around,
I fake I don't pay attention to you.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
I thought you were my Prince Charming in blue.
And I was your princess waiting for you.
But, I realized these are merely illusions.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
I thought you were the one.
And I asked God to guide my way, but I followed my heart
Which lead me astray.
Why?
I fell in love with you.
I thought you were the one.
But love is cold and sacrificial.
Once again, I ask myself
Why?
The answer is unmistakable.
I fell in love with you,
Just to find out you did not feel the same
As I did with you!
