The Secret of Rapunzel

Once apon a time...

Rapunzel was born inside a castle.

To the King and Queen of Basle

Except Rapunzel was not their daughter

She was born to a cottar.

The cottar missed her daughter so,

She took her to a place she could watch her grow,

Unbeknownst to the king and Queen.

Rapunzel was never allowed outside to the grass so green.

She grew to feel resentful

Because her life was never eventful.

The cottar seeing her so unhappy,

Told her lie when feeling a little sappy.

The cottar told her she was actually a princess

And that she'd been taken by the cottar's meanness.

She let Rapunzel go

Even though it killed her to know

She would never see her again

And be thrown in the castle dungeons.

The end.
