The Secret Society
I stand in the void of the disturbed and gullible
in times where we speak for faded enclosure
substances to dissolve our lack of compassion
to survive this world of demand and subtraction
for who are we to take this for granted
when all we experience is greed and madness
we thrive in what we believe is a success
yet blame a girl for the length of her dress
and wipe the tears from the cheeks of our mothers
while putting aside the actions of others
we do not know when we shall leave this world
or if we are even living at all
faded to attempt to recollect our emotions
and melted in the pot of fear and precaution
the flames of our actions come back to haunt us
pierces in your skin and drives you unconscience
blinded by the pits of desire
we sacrifice one another to the pits of fire
and for what do we owe this ounce of pleasure
when all we gain is heartbreak and pressure
yet we sing the songs of light and resurrection
in hopes to shine on our sinful actions
for who is there to judge us on what we do
it is a personal connection between them and you
