the secret of something

the lights of the night

settled between us

i smell the weed off you

as if it’s cologne

carrying arizona like

you enjoyed the feeling of familiarity

you were the teddy bear type boy

look tough on the outside

soft in the inside

your voice is

like fireworks in the city

my body feels

like it’s on fire

as if you brought hell inside of me

we ended up in corners

and unknown neighbourhoods

bedrooms and bandos

we left as fast as we came

you said you loved me

i don’t know if i felt the same

we let our fingers intertwine

like they were shaped for one another

we kissed and hugged

laughed and talked

it was as if every moment

every touch

every kiss

every word

just held the feeling

of something
