The Secret Was Acid

The secret was acid

Corroding the trust we share

Replacing it with fear

Of losing you- should I dare

Tell you

Put a friendship to the test

If it's strong- I'll be relieved

If not- I'll be a mess

Only by telling the secret

And receiving a good reception

Could the shame begin to erase

Thus silencing my personal lying mixtape

That my secret makes me a disgrace

Since my inception

Me
