Secrets

Does she know the words
you say to me so late at night?
Do you cover it all up
and try your hardest to deny?
Or maybe she’s used to it,
“No need to lie, no need to cry”.

Greet her with a public proclamation
and a smile.
Ring me up with untraceable fingerprints,
and a secret on your tongue as you dial,
After all, its dark outside
and everyone sleeps meanwhile.
