Secrets and Promises

One secret I told you was your friend

another was how I felt about you

ive told you about my parents

and the hard thing about my past

You promised me one day you’d tell me that secret of yours

that secret that you said you’d tell me as a gift for my birthday

you wouldn’t want me to know but the whole world to

i wonder as you said that

what did I do so wrong

you said I did nothing

the day came

as I tried to approach you your friend told me your secret

that secret made me happy

that secret was everything to me

who could be so happy from three words

after those three words it turned to five

I felt like screaming

” I like you” those three words

” will you be my girlfriend” those five words

~ your love
