I see it in the way you tease me,
Your eyes bright with joy.
I feel it in the way you hold me
Not letting me go, even when we fight.
I hear it when you speak to me,
Trying to understand my logic,
Even when it is not right.
My heart, my body, my mind,
All knowing the feelings that exist,
Even though the words have yet to leave your lips
The words that mean the most
The words I see, feel, and hear
The words you WILL one day say to me.
The words
I. Love. You.
And when you finally release those words from your lips
I will not doubt it, because I know they are true
Not because you speak them,
But because you show me every day exactly how you feel.
