See Me

I waited

For too long

I wasted time

Without even realizing

You weren't reaching back

I waited

By the phone

For a call that never came

Didn't even know

How alone

I was

And always had been

From the start

You had control

And as you break my heart

I know

I always knew

Wanted you

Just a little more

Needed you

So desperaretly

You never heard me

You never saw

All the ways

And times

I put it on the line

All the times I lied

Said I was fine

When inside

I died

Slowly

Waiting for words

That you could never say

Actions

That would never come

You were always so good

Too good

At holding me just right

But leaving me hallow like wood

I tried

So hard

I cried

So much

And you never knew

Not once

DId you

Look at me

And see

How badly

I needed you to see me
