See you Soon

He gave me sweets and tied my shoe

His voice withered as mine grew

My father’s father the greatest man alive

Has left me behind without saying goodbye

We dressed in all black my uncles carried a box

We shared his things from his hats to his socks

Happy Summer vacations and winter breaks

Now everyone cries at his name and his face

I know that they are sorrowful and I should be too

But  he didn’t say goodbye he just said see you soon
