The Seed

Joy in the purest form My oxygen The gift of the sweat from my brow I see you Your beautiful eyes They bloom Holding the hopes of your mother The desire not to live But more so to be alive Your smile steady Like a graceful hand… Or a root Ever so persistent like the sun chasing rain You understand work is never done What strength you have The ability to ignore the woes That lay in your path You step through them Careful yet adventurous Reminiscent of a stubborn soul we know No you are stronger than him Kinder also You thrive by that around you You appreciate the magic in a moment Yet you are insightful about time As its sands run under your feet I see you My perseverance The sweetest fruit Life Again My unborn child.
