Seed
II know you were young
And yes you were innocent
You told him to quit it
But he never listened
You cried and cried
You told him to stop
But he said “Shut up girl!”
As he eased his way on top
Every evening
On a Friday night
He snuck into your bedroom
And whispered “You better not put up a fight”
He was disgusting
He always smelled
And when he was done
He said “You better not tell!”
So for months and months
You’ve kept quiet
You were afraid that if you told
People would think you were lying
But one day
You left out the front door
Finally realizing
That you couldn’t take it anymore
You walked around
Not knowing what to do
So you went to the police
And told them what that man had done to you
The police go to your house
And take that man to jail
So now you’re thinking
“Justice has prevailed”
Now you’re happy
And finally free
But nine months from now
You’ll give birth to me.
