Seed of my father
I looked into those big brown eyes and I thought, "I hate you". But how can you hate the person who made you. Let's not be mistaken. He may have made me but he didn't make me who I am. I haven't had the chance to call him Daddy`O, Pops or even my hero. But I will not sulk in the shadows of my misfortune. The reasons he was not there, the reasons he did not share, the reasons he did not care were because the funds were not there. Excuses...excuses...excuses. They began to grow old as I grew older. I learned not to care but be aware of my future. He is a blessing in disguise. For he is the poster child for the man I will never need. The man I wish not to meet. As I look in the mirror, I look at my big brown eyes and it only reminds me of when people say, " you look just like your father!" At times it angers me because why should I take pride in the one who had no time for my sister and I. And then I find Grace in the matter because I would have not been born without this sinner. For I am not a victim, or a statistic of a single parent household but I am that big brown eyed child who found fortune in a mother. Best believe I am the seed of my father.
