Seedlings

Friendship, like a little seed,

Needs special things to reap.

Soil, for the little sprout,

To help its roots dig deep.

Water, is the nourishment,

As seedlings we do seek.

Next, is love and company,

Which needs for me you meet.

My soil is the trust we share

The past is left behind.

My water is the tears you cry

Every time I hurt inside.

Love will come from in your heart

And company, in which I can confide.

Through sorrow and joy

You broke through all my pride.

And though you may be far from me

In my heart you will abide.
