Seeds

The seeds of change are trying to fight through

the sediment better known as my thick skull

beneath it is you with my last name

its me waking up to your alarm because your so determined

its the dent you left inside my arm because we fell asleep talking about the universe

our footprints intermingling at the foot of our country

me denying Poseidon his favorite daughter

me loving you

like no one ever has
