Seeds Of Love By Alizeh H

For years, his love grew in me as a lily In the wild,
Making my heart sublime and mind focused on what solely was mine

But one day he looked at me and said, 'Your heart isn't as strong as mine', I peered through the window as he strangled the seeds of lime,

As I walked pass by him, I could feel his eyes as a glimpse to mine,
Hoping that maybe he'd stop and think of the dusted petals on the trees behind,

The trail became unknown, the mind forlorn,
making me forget the changing seasons because the heart was tainted and torn,

Pillars around me spoke of how beautifully the dark encircled the light,
making me again feel the beauty that was his love that was 'oh so bright'

As I imagine his hands in mine,
the magnificent clouds look at me as an angel alongside a devil who once left her behind,
the wind whispering away of not trusting the man who once claimed 'to be mine'

But what is it about love that ties nature with its untimely blight,
making you forget the seeds that were once planted and making you focus on the sadistic moon at night?
