Seeing

In order to see beauty,

We must open our eyes.

Open our hearts

Open our minds

We must forget all we know,

We must accept

The differences, the colors,

The design itself.

Even if it would be unfamiliar to us

So it may even be

Uncomfortable enough,

That we want to close our eyes,

Want to close our hearts,

Seal off our minds.

That is our sudden problem,

The one that arises from

“Love”, or “protection”

The one rendering us

Blind, stuck in the

DARK.

The one that keeps us divided,

Keeps us apart.

Therefore, to see

The beauty that our God has given us,

The thing called diversity,

We must be moldable,

Breakable,

Vulnerable.

We must be open.
