Seeing is deceiving
Seeing is believing they say.
But honestly, I disagree.
The world we live in now can only be described as a blur,
And honeslty all the words are begin to slur.
'Reality tv' they say.
With scripts and reruns? Okay.
Lack of communication is evident.
But some how social media can makes this irrelevant.
People don't mean what they say or say what they mean.
And its sickening that people are out to destroy others dreams.
It's ridiculous that the people we love are no long the people we spend the most time with,
Because we are more concerned about how others see the life we live.
Prejudice and discrimination still ruin us as a community.
What about unity?
The innocent girl you smile at day to day,
Is really manipulating it to all go her way.
The girl that seems blunt and rude,
Is really to scared to ask a friend to just simply go out for food.
The boy stealing in your local shop,
Has no money for food but has big dream of making it to the top.
So seeing is deceiving.
Maybe we're all a little blind.
So hold out a helping hand,
And please, try to be kind.
