Seeing my life for the first time.
Colored pictures on the wall, but all I see is the dark unending hall.
The pictures moving on the wall, I just hope I will not fall.
The ground shakes and splits apart, yet all I feel is my pounding heart.
My heart is beating so very fast.
My life is flashing by so very fast, I just realized I was living in the past.
The pictures fall, crashing down, now all the walls are turning brown.
There's nothing to see, nothing to hear.
Now I'm living in great fear.
The ground breaks, the walls shake, now I landed on a snake.
The snake takes me to a lake, dumps me in so I shake.
I'm sinking down in the ocean deep, until I feel the sand on my feet.
I look up, my life flashes before my eyes.
Now I know I'm going to die.
My life turned out to be a lie.
I tricked myself to think I was fine, but I wish I had one more dime.
I realize I have a second to spare, so I sit there and stare into the air.
I see my life was not fair, but then I see God was always there; not beside me, but way up there.
I look up and say I know it's a little late, but please let me come in that precious gate,
to a wonderful place I do not deserve.
Then God said, "Oh but haven't you heard?
My child I shall forgive you, please come in, don't look down, but lift up your chin.
Now I take away all your sin."
I wish I had known how much I needed him.
Now I must go, but this is not the end, for now I live in heaven with him.
