seeing new colors

Sitting, watching the second hand of the clocks rhythmic movements.

Wanting these; seconds, hours, days, semesters to slip past.

I was ready to play follow the leader through life,

graduate, get a job, get old and die

Then you walked in...

Your lengthy, awkward movements immediately grabbed my attention.

No class was ever going to be the same.

My life was no longer going to be same.

You poured forth your knowledge, like water flowing in a river.

I sat there in awe of the words that were being said, like a child seeing a rainbow for the first time.

Philosophical views to the likes of which I'd never heard.

Creating a world with different colors than I've ever seen before

Everything seeming new, you gave me a whole new respective on the world.

You made me question all my preconceived notions.

You gave me a chance to see life from a new light.

You pushed me to think logically and passionately.

above all things.

You helped me find me.

Thank you.
