Seeing through the darkness

How can the owl see through the darkness?

A shame and a pity that most of us can't,

We should work and gain for our anonymous future,

And like the owl, gaze through the unknown,

In order that we too, can make the world for the better,

Reflection:

It frustrates me that everybody complains about the future, but does nothing about it. Everybody assumes that since the present may be not going well, the future will be bad too, I feel like this poem really gives an insight into this feeling.
