Seeing Without Eyes
Seeing Without Eyes
by t.a.mayes
I have stood atop the barn
and fallen into the grass below.
I have raised my sword to the heavens
and cut a gaping hole in the sky.
When times are in terrible suffering
I have raised your spirits.
I climb rocky terrain and allow
you to see beyond the future
but you were blinded by the colors
blasting out of the darkness.
You will not allow yourself to
look without opening your eyes.
I have asked you to speak and you
will not believe I will listen.
Focus not on the untruths that
guide you wrongly and off the path.
Until you know me I cannot let
you into the nothingness with me.
Now sleep with your eyes wide open,
convince me you know within the knowing.
