Seen

Heard them run from the boarder,

never given the chance, they were stopped with order.

They were told stories of change,

yet I was the one given to gleam.

I was outraged,

I heard of this idea of the American Dream.

But I have seen the reality,

that we all aren't given the same opportunity as all.

If we want something we have to work twice as hard or else we'll fall.

As I grow I see we aren't as free.

As a hispanic I am not seen,

however I see my worth that Im just as good.

Therefore Why I am here in my adulthood.

Being seen.
