Self-esteem

Setting my chin on my knees, I think of triumph

and I say, "Why not me?"

I get up and try to walk. I stumble

and I think, "Why always me?"

I see a person with gratifying smile

and I think, "Why can't I?"

I see a person dreaming

and I think, "Why don't I?"

With certificates of failure, I sit in the dark corner

and I think, "Where did it go wrong?"

Tears pouring down my face,

I say, "Why can't I be strong?"

I sit down and watch the stars burn to dust,

and I think, "Do things always fall apart?"

I see inventions and inventors everywhere

and I ask myself, "When am I gonna start?"

Maybe it is all going to be okay, if i gave it a time,

Thus, for right now, all I need is to calm down and sleep a little.
