Self-importance
Proverbs 16:18 New Living Translation (NLT)
18 Pride goes before destruction,
and haughtiness before a fall.
Self-importance ... self-conceit
Where does that stuff come from?
Does it originate in darkness
Does that evoke that attitude?
It must be based on pride
which hungers in our longing
Now we blame that old serpent,
who destroys our fortitude.
