Self Love

My clock is counting down

So I don't dare look,
Your words are measured;
There isn't time left for mistakes.
I look down and my fingers are
Counting but I
Don't know what to.
The plane arrives in 20,
And I haven't even kissed you yet.
Your eyes are bluer than ever,
And mine are too, I'll bet.
1,051,897.53 minutes have led to this,
And i can't breathe,
But before I can utter a word,
You're turning towards the terminal.
You grip my hand tightly,
And let it go.
When you book your return flight,
I will not be here to greet you.
I have finally realized,
This is what self love is.
