Self-love

Trying to be someone that will appeal to the crowd

Is what I have spent most of my life trying to do

But if you love yourself out loud

Nobody will be able to take the you out of you ,

So if theres one thing I cant live without

My self-worth would be my top priority

My voice will be heard if I have to shout

Because nobody can take the me out of me

In society today, self love is shamed

I am not bragging, I am not selfish, But I am full of love

For being full of myself? For that I am blamed

Who else am I supposed to be full of?

I am beautiful, I am smart, and I have a good heart

I had to work to reach this, I wasnt like this from birth

In this play of life, I play only my part

People get mad, and try to steal my worth

So just love yourself, and dont let anyone make you doubt

Your self-love migh become the thing you can't live without
