Self-love is the main attribute in maintaining healthy relationships

it is the aspect of allowing freedom,

trust and

acceptance

none of that bullshit you see that is script,

censorship

companionship abandonment occurs when one lacks sufficiency

break down walls just to tear apart hopes and dignity

that’s a symptom of mental deficiency,

ya see?

I too was guilty of bigotry,

slamming love and played the green-eyed

replaced joy with instant gratification

then a moment I felt to abide

it is not the presents

or words that was declared

for true intimacy

was never shared 

constant scolds

and uncertainty

absence of consistency

undeviating past compares

who was I to him that he did not care?

Obsession with self-revision

changed my ways

and my hair

still

I don't think he was aware

nothing I do

can repair

then I began to unravel the knots

I remember everything my mama taught

I swear for a moment there was clarity

all along

the enemy was inside of me

no self-love

has brought me here

I allowed him to be my puppeteer

from now on I will adhere

to the actions that made it all clear

self-love will compose unconditional love

never feeling unworthy of,

impatient of or

permitting of

coherence of love

will no longer seem translucent

when one possesses this trait

trust me

for I have awaited

and created

the perfect love

with my forever roommate
