Self love

I was turning fifteen and felt adult hood slowly sneaking up on me.

I felt like a woman, about to get my license, slipping out of my parents grip.

I felt the weight.

I put that weight on me.

He only added more.

Three years! Searching for my confidence and someone to love me.

Until I looked in the mirror, and squinted.

Who was that? A fifteen year old broken girl.

She felt the weight of the world from others and lost herself within it.

Eighteen now. Going to college, evolved, confident, excited about life.

I found myself through the dark times. All of these experiences molded me.

To be the most beautiful version of myself that I could be.

I love myself. I am beautiful. You are too.
