Self Love

Communicate.

I won’t leave your heart damaged.
Butterflies and giggles only.

Compromise.

Everything just makes sense.

You’re art.

A fine art.

I could sit and stare at you all day.

I love our laugh.

Loyal and sweet.

Now I understand,

I’m healing.

A few scars from my past,

but I’ll let them heal here.

With you.

Not a thing to do.

Let’s just talk, under the moon.

With the stars in our eyes. Your eyes.

A whole new world.

Just you and I.

Keep me challenged, as I bore easily.

Tease me,

Tease me.

Why am I scared?

Because you’re a house full of gold.

I’d follow you down any road.

Drive down to the shore,

Dance in the sea.

Take my hand, come with me?

Weed.

My love is yours.

In a different place.

Drive, drive.

You’re my favorite secret to keep.

I am alone.

Surrounded by the color blue.

Inside a poem.

The only words I ever knew.

Our future unfolds,

All we can do is hide, and mold.

The secret,

Fact not fiction.

Love.
