Self love= our love

I just want to hold your hand sometimes when you’re yelling

Tell you I’m sorry

For being unbecoming

Tell you we could forget about what we said and walk away

But I love you too much so I’ll run instead

We need to grow before we plant seeds and root our way to our dreams

Maybe when we start being adults and doing grown things our relationship will bloom into something they can’t unsee

We could be #goals

Let them forget out #hurtbae

And call us the new lovers new age and we can only be healthy if we love ourselves first

Even if we put each other first

Just know I loved you first

I could take a few weeks, a few weeks and maybe even a few years

Before we understand seeing eye to eye is more like listening ear to ear

Take in each other’s plans, each other’s truths, and even our vices

The worst advice

I ever heard was

The heart is deceitful above all things

But what’s a heart when you fill that space

You took its place

Our rhythms flow at the same place

This isn’t a break up piece

More like suggestions for improvement

Because I love you so much I want to tell you that the truth is

You need to become a flower on your own before our vines intertwine

I need you in my life

we need to understand ourselves first

We can be

But this just isn’t the right time

I’ve spent my entire life living in the Bronx and I identify myself with Hispanic and West Indies cultures, most of all I’m apart of the hip hop culture. I believe the music and art is becoming more mainstream and will make a huge change in the way people live their lives. I plan on studying art therapy in college and eventually make my way back to my roots to expand the knowledge the youth has on art and help them overcome the problems most teenagers in this generation go through such as depression, oppression, family problems, etc.
