Self Portrait

Skin like frozen glass

Eyes in pewter casts

My mouth writes an open invitation

For you to explore

The caverns these thoughts came from

Opulecent iris

Opaque navy eyelids

Curtains of auburn straw

Frame my every flaw

You see the hand painted plaster

I see the impending disaster

As I melt and fray

At my wall

You chisel away
