Proverbs 19:21
21 There are many plans in a person’s mind,
but it is the counsel of the Lord which will stand.
The accuser works through the mind ... he is well versed in it.
He makes us do the things he likes ... and we don’t even notice.
He supplies us shifting attitudes ... and positions ever-changing
as he removes our stability ... in its entirety on short notice.
He takes our strength to listen and let thoughts drift through the brain.
He makes us talkative by old nature ... and our tongue out of control.
Then shed of mind and will ... and he’ll make us act like a robot
as the accuser just pushes buttons because our names were on his scroll.
He’ll take it one step farther ... and brings obstinacy.
So we refuse to listen ... to reason or evidence.
After we have made decisions and carved them into stone
the mind has become immobile ... as it sheds any pretense.
It seems so clear now ... that the Gospel delivers from sin.
As this cleansing happens you’ll be delivered from the devil as well.
Why then be afraid ... if the devil is mentioned.
When the Gospel is lived and preached ... he does fear and swell.
