Self Reflection


I stare into her eyes and I see her pain. I see the tears welling in the creases of her eyelids, and watch as they slowly roll down her face. I see the little girl she used to be, and the monster she has become. She fears who she is; she doesn't know what she has done. I see all her imperfections, not just those skin deep. I blink my eyes and find when they are open a single teardrop on the mirror below me.
