Self Vs. World

Crying tears of sorrow Looking for hope, fighting for tomorrow I am alone, I am my own ambition I continue striving under one condition That is to stay true to myself And to not let any amount of wealth Rid me of all humanity Basking in insanity Remembering the pain Struggling to gain Wading in the waters Hoping just to drown Looking for an escape Where there is none. But I’ve been chosen due to my inner strength And I possess success Even if I’m not there yet It awaits me, it’s mine to grab. Your words of condescend Will help me to ascend Up the ladder where I matter And you’ll be in the pits of hell, rotting in the shell You were so scared to break out of.
