is this selfish?

i hope one day it all comes crashing down on you

as sudden as a fatal car accident

i hope a part of your soul dies on impact

i hope you realize the full extent of the way

you severed my soul from the rest of my being

and scattered it into the deep

i hope you cry as much as i did

i hope you feel that tangible ache in your chest

i hope that somehow you'll understand

the emotional abuse that you put me through

and i hope you never forget it

because this is not i love you

this is not what they told me it would be like

this is what it feels like to die

every night

and keep waking up
